Michael Jecks gave up a career in the computer industry to concentrate on writing and the study of medieval history, especially that of Devon and Cornwall. Michael and his wife live in a small village in northern Dartmoor with their children, plus a Bernese Mountain Dog and Rhodesian Ridgeback, with whom Michael walks over the moors and ancient tracks researching his stories.
